The Burghley Suite - Tradition, Beauty and Style

While we are, of course, as equally proud of all of our beautiful rooms here at The Talbot, it has to be said that there is something special about The Burghley Suite.  Situated in the oldest part of the hotel, this gorgeous room is the suite of choice for our newly weds; complete with a magnificent four poster bed and roll top bath.  The charm and tradition that permeates this room makes it perfect for any weekend away, and you also may be inspired to visit its namesake, Burghley House in nearby Stamford.

Built by Sire William Cecil, who was Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, Burghly House is a must - see for anyone visiting the area.  The breathtaking house has featured in some of our most well known films, such as Pride & Prejudice, The Da Vinci Code and Elizabeth: The Golden Age all of which have taken advantage of the sweeping grounds and stunning Elizabethan architecture.
