The charm and tradition that permeates this room makes it perfect for any weekend away, and you also may be inspired to visit its namesake, Burghley House in nearby Stamford.
Built by Sire William Cecil, who was Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth I, Burghly House is a must - see for anyone visiting the area. The breathtaking house has featured in some of our most well known films, such as Pride & Prejudice, The Da Vinci Code and Elizabeth: The Golden Age all of which have taken advantage of the sweeping grounds and stunning Elizabethan architecture.
